HCC Mission StatementsCalling: Hilton Christian Church exists because of our belief in God as revealed through Jesus Christ. We confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and we proclaim him Lord and Savior of the world.
Identity: We believe that the Bible is our guide for faith and life and that each believer is free to interpret the scriptures as led by God’s Spirit; baptism is a symbolic act of our belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; communion is an affirmation of faith to be celebrated each Lord’s Day and is open to all; the unity of all believers is based upon the love of Jesus Christ and His commandment that we love one another. Purpose: Our mission is to proclaim the good news and saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to all people through word and deed. Open & AffirmingOpen & Affirming (O&A) churches strive to be welcoming places, places that welcome you whatever your skin color, accent, clothing, or the gender of your spouse. An O&A church seeks to welcome all people without judgment and to provide a welcome that honors and accepts the diversity that is the image of God in creation. An O&A church works to ensure that when we say 'all are welcome,' we truly mean everyone. Please read the Disciples LGBTQ+ Alliance pamphlet to learn more.
